Users review: Troy (2004) Dir. Wolfgang Petersen I, like so many others, was expecting a lot of Troy when I went down and sat in the dark opening of the film was to open up. At first I thought the movie so much I have to do now. I gave it a 7/10 of the first run, but I knew to see it again, it's just one of those movies that requires a number viewings.So I watched it again in history class (because it is not historically accurate, it probably was not the best idea). And look what I bought DVD.And happened.I strongly suggest that all those waiting for Troy cinemas to rent or buy the DVD and give it a second chance at home. It really is a much richer, perhaps even exciting experience, because expectations have been lowered, often making the movie experience better.Anyone who is not tired the two great armies face-off kind we have seen Lord of the Rings films, and now many of the other films on trilogys footprints will surely love fighting in Troy. Troy will battle sequences seriously and when they are epic look at them, in the heart of the battle
