Users review: What do you think of this film? I am at a total loss to describe it. The term itself, the son tries to come to terms with his dying father, he knows nothing about the huge trade incredible stories, do not sound thin, g promising. It sounds like a tired old formula, and I waited so when rental started playingIts not.Werewolves, giants, witches, Siamese twins, bank robbers, hidden cities, sirens, etc. are all present in the imagination, but it seems to Unremarkably be part of the normal life of a traveling salesman. Did they really are or not is never made clear, but this is rub.I ever read a review of Harlan Ellison in which the main point was like tell a lie describes the truth in much better clarity than a simple recitation of facts ever can. At one point in the film, questing son comments for bedridden father that hes heard all their stories thousands of times, and he has no idea that FAD, its going really are. The father answers: "I have never had anyone but me since the day I was born. If you do not know who I am, your fault, not mine. Later studies make the point clearer. Ill bet Ellison loved this movie. It is a wonderful lie.Did me as a movie? You bet. As Tim Burtons best work without a doubt. Is for all? Probably not. Many find it confusing and meaningless, but it's such a good imagination. I can only say is, relax and let it happen. You wont regret it.
