Users review: My wife and I were both in high school in 1980, and we loved this movie. So the story is not Academy Award material, but it was the most fun we had in a while at the movies. The 80's music is not the original work, but still good and led highly placed in the film. Tom Cruise is a cry in his role (think Axl Rose) and the others werent bad. Small cameos from some 80s rock stars. I have seem some references to its similarity with fat and his portrayal of the 1950s. I think it's a pretty good comparison. Even if you are not a fan of the 80s, you probably will not like it too much. However, if you like the 80s and his music, you'll probably enjoy this movie and leave you with a smile.
