Users review: As a fan of movies Korean Park Chan-wook, especially gross twist on the vampire story in 2009 thirsty, I was extremely excited fheiceá, first multiplayer offering English language. Stoker, first scannána made stateside with CWP, defiantly disappoint. This is mainly because the director waiting for what he knows, history is darker features than their Korean works says. However, Stoker is also less significant then one would expect from Park Chan-Wook, how many moments of violence and depravity of a potentially much more direct toned. Stoker focuses on the titular family of India, Evelyn, and Richard Stoker (Mia Wasikowska, Nicole Kidman, and Dermot Mulroney). When Richard dies a mysterious car accident, daughter of India's most oddball starts moving away from their estranged mother, Evelyn. After burying their patriarch, the family is visited by Indias Uncle Charlie. Charlie seems a little out there, and begin to form a vague relationship with India suggest Uncle Charlie might want more than family bonding. A pull up any further spoil the film, but needless to say that the premise interesting. The story unfolds very slowly, a little dramatic developments in the second half of the film, which is much larger than the wizz-bang beginning somber and carefully paced. This is not a bad thing, mainly because the characters are so interesting from the get-go that are attached and they go about the daily lives of their pleasure. Even when it seems that early scannána resting on its laurels, great performances all around (especially on performance as much distance to edge Wasikowskas and India). Except for a few odd holes, the script remains strong throughout, providing plenty of great dialogue courtesy of Wentworth Miller (you read it right So the man from Resident Evil. Lives Who saw that coming)?. Of course, it is the strongest link in the chain of Park Chan-wook. So despite many not sticking the landing, Stoker is effectively creepy, well-acted and enjoyable start to what I hope will be a long career English Chan-wook Park.
