Users review: There are spoilers in this review ... What a great, great film. If you want to know what was in High School in the mid-70s, rent the movie. I grew up in Manhattan metro area. We do not rookie hazing, and some of us can car (not even sure we know and doted upon them) can afford, but the rest of the movie is so dead on my experiences High School in the 70s she frightening. Every character in the movie react to someone I know at the time. Yes, there was a lot of pot smoking, yes, the beer is relatively easy for the minor children ... I used to buy it at the bar when I was 16. We have pipe in the shop class. We hang out and have a party in the evening, which led to the streets drinking beer and smoking joints listening to the same music. No youth centers. The girls I know, as well, and also struggled to get into their jeans. They also use pliers, but they also put it on while wet to get more closely appearance. There was no HIV virus to worry, herpes is not a rose, the main concern is getting pregnant. Everyone is having sex ... All these facts do not agree. Most of my colleagues just fine, and stand pillar of the community. Many want to believe that this is an example of the road to ruin. This is a fantastic good time. The film has interesting character development, both types I remember. Philosophers, head, now known stoners, harassing and waifs. This is my American Graffiti and it was perfect. Waxing nostalgic? Maybe, but someone who did not live through that time sill love the dialogue in this film, as it deals with universal experiences in life. This is a high school in the 70s. Check it out.
